"Dozens of people spontaneously combust each year. It's just not really widely reported. "

BREAKING NEWS EVERYONE.

SPINAL TAP WILL BE RECORDING NEW MATERIAL.

The legendary fake band will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the This Is Spinal Tap mockumentary by releasing a new album, their first since 1992's Break Like The Wind. "It'll be for download as well as on conventional media later this year," Harry Shearer (aka bassist Derek Smalls) confirmed to BBC 5 Live.

AWWWW YEAH.

Shearer, who portrays Tap's bass player Derek Smalls said: "We've never recorded the song we did at Live Earth, Warmer Than Hell, and I think they (Spinal Tap) are trying to revisit their old success.

"Not that they were ever popular, maybe in their own universe.

"We'll do a song called Gimme Some More Money, probably with some dubious results."

Who's excited?!

Happy Day!

Happy valentine's everyone! Here's a little history on the holiday:

Valentine's Day or Saint Valentine's Day is a holiday celebrated on February 14 by many people throughout the world. In the West, it is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine's cards, presenting flowers, or offering confectionery. The holiday is named after two among the numerous Early Christian martyrs named Valentine. The day became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.

Hope everyone is having a nice time. Remember! Not having someone to love on Valentine's Day means you're gonna be lonely forever!

You MANeater!

Dearest blog readers,
My name is Dash. Let me begin by stating that I have a very foggy understanding of my parents lives from before the time I was four years old.

Some fun facts!
-My father was once a professional soccer goalie.
-My mother once claimed to have done Speed when she was hanging out with some bikers (for an undisclosed amount of time) and that it wa
s "no big deal".
-My stepfather has seen Einsturzende Neubauten in concert.

Anyhoo! I have recently acquired an mp3 which, at the EXACT SAME TIME, clears and confuses the lives of my family. The following paragraph is entirely based on what I can ascertain and glean, using my wits and imagination, about my heritage based on this mp3.

At some point in the winter of 1982, my mother and stepfather, and, PERHAPS, my father, were residing in the frozen college town of Ithaca, NY. Many of the residents of this town went to college, and the college radio station (WTKO) played nothing but sweet-ass '80s music...the best singles of the BEST singles. One of the local college DJs was named Ray Noone. The mp3 being presented to you, dear reader, is a recorded document of one Ray Noone, drunk as a skunk, broadcasting his final show of 1982. As the final half hour of that glorious year countdown, WITNESS (with your ears) a man being more awesome then you can imagine. I may never fully understand what my parents did with themselves in their "glory" days, but I DO KNOW that they listened to awesome music presented by bitchingly wasted disc jockeys. WITNESS (with your ears) the majesty that is RAY NOONE.

I expect you to fix this Ellen

So apparently, Birmingham, the second largest city in England, has:

"decided to drop apostrophes from all its street signs,
saying they're confusing and old-fashioned.
But some purists are downright possessive about the punctuation mark."

Link to Article

PURISTS?! I'm sorry, but I don't think someone who wants to keep one of the basic punctuation marks in the English language is a purist. I think they just have a 3rd grade education and realize how fucking STUPID this is.

Well, the council of Birmingham has been apparently dealing with this since the 1950s. For some reason this is a very controversial issue. But recently, the council has made a decision, no apostrophes anymore! Councilman Martin Mullaney said this:

"Apostrophes denote possessions that are no longer accurate,
and are not needed," he said. "More importantly, they confuse people. If I want to go to a restaurant, I don't want to have an A-level (high school diploma) in English to find it."

WHO IS THIS GUY?! How was he elected to his position? This is ridiculous.
